Directions to Stop #12: Walk across E 59th Street into and towards the back of the open field on the north side of the street. It is about 150 yards from stop #11. This tour stop is located in Kansas City, Missouri 64132.
Description: The 12th stop on the tour brings you to the location where you may be able to see the remains of Confederate entrenchments. Towards the back of the open area was the extreme left flank of Marmaduke's defensive line. Here the Confederates defended against an attack by the dismounted Third Battalion of the 4th Iowa Cavalry commanded by Captain Edward Dee from Winslow's Fourth Brigade.
