Stop 17: Battle Line At Railroad Cut

This tour stop is a historical marker in the island at the intersection of W. Lexington Avenue and S. Crysler Avenue. This location was just beyond the southwestern edge of town in 1864. The current railroad track was an unfinished railroad cut at the time. Rock Creek is a little over a mile to the southwest.
