Stop 22: Dee’s Battalion Crossed Here

This tour stop is located on Hardesty Avenue about one mile south of Blue Parkway. You should be able to peek through the bushes and trees on the east side of Hardesty Avenue and see how deep the ravine is. On October 23, Captain Edward W. Dee led about 150 men in the 3d Battalion, 4th Iowa Cavalry, down the ravine to the river.
