This tour stop is located on the high ground in Blue Valley Park. In this general location Maj. Gen. Samuel R. Curtis deployed the 9th Independent Battery Wisconsin Light Artillery commanded by Capt. James H. Dodge. The top of this hill provides a commanding view of the eastern approaches to Kansas City and Westport.
